SRAM Launches New Boxxer, Vivid Coil, T-Type XX AXS DH & Refined Maven - Faster, Smoother, Lighter, Stronger

After more than a decade without a ground-up overhaul of its complete downhill ecosystem, SRAM has finally pulled the covers off something truly significant.

It’s been 11 years since SRAM introduced a fully integrated, end-to-end DH platform built around an entirely new suspension fork, braking system, and drivetrain. Today, that drought ends.

With the launch of the new SRAM Boxxer, SRAM XX T-Type DH, Vivid Coil, and SRAM Maven, SRAM isn’t just updating components — it’s redefining what a modern downhill race build looks like.

This latest release signals a clear shift in direction. The focus is uncompromising: faster, smoother, lighter, and stronger. Every piece of the puzzle has been engineered to work as a unified system, built to handle the brutal demands of World Cup-level tracks while delivering consistency, durability, and precision under race pressure.

All New RockShox Boxxer
The new Boxxer represents a fresh chapter in DH suspension design, new technologies are so logical, that its hard to believe they have not been seen before.

New Tech includes buzz words like "ButterWagonTech" , "Linear XL" and the latest RockShox Damper "Charger 3.2". These leaps in technology will soon roll off the tongue in the race pits like comparing tyre pressures, LSC Clicks & Head Angles.

The New Boxxer comes with major updates to Bushings, the tightest tolerances the industry has ever seen, and a completely new level of Plushness that doesnt come at a service heavy cost. A funnel shaped Oil seal that creates a small lubricating bath keeps the fork super plush.

Huge Claims are backed by World Level Racing Royalty like Troy Brosnan who has proven the New Boxxer on track over the 2025 Race Season, inc Hardline. This refined damping performance, and improved small-bump sensitivity breeds speed.

XX DH T-Transmission
The XX T-Type DH drivetrain brings SRAM’s transmission philosophy to downhill racing, emphasizing strength, impact resistance, and flawless shifting under load.

Designed specifically for the punishment of gravity racing, it aims to set a new benchmark for drivetrain reliability and simplicity. This short Cage 7 Speed Drivetrain is in a league of its own, faster shifting, no backing off the pedals under load, slimline, and no vulnerable derailleur hangers on bikes enduring the toughest Racing conditions in the world.

As part of this, we see new slimline XD driver bodies to suite DH cassettes, new Axle widths, wider hub flanges and no cables, making this the neatest drivetrain to ever make it onto a DH Bike.

New Updated Maven
Then there’s Maven — a braking system synonomous with absolute stopping authority. With increased power, improved heat management, and enhanced modulation, Maven was engineered to inspire confidence when speeds are at their highest and margins for error are razor thin.

This latest update is bred from 2 years of Maven Experience in the market which found the entry level Maven Base brake was proving to be most popular, mainly due to its lighter feel with no loss in real power. An update to the Lever Cam and push rod, plus a reduction in Caliper Piston size from 19.5/18mm to 18/18mm created a lighter action, whilst adding more oil volume within the caliper.

New Vivid Coil
Predicatability was the key for the new Vivid, the New Vivid Coil C1 features an all-new "Short yet fat" reservoir and main piston, meaning dampening has been perfected through the entire stroke, with no space for cavitation (No Air Bubbles amongst the oil, so feels the same run after run). The perfect Linear Coil spring feel is a consistant calculation of force that creates movement, whether this is in the first, mid or end of stroke. The new Vivid claims to meet this, creating a predicatability you can trust.

Dials have been updated for a more user freindly feel, no more counting clicks.
The ABO "Adjustable Bottom Out" allows the rider to customise the bottom out feel for the big hits, and a new focus on the Linear Spring Compression is more active under small bumps than ever before.

Together, these components don’t just represent incremental upgrades. They form a cohesive performance platform that could define the next generation of downhill complete builds.

The future of downhill racing just got a major reset — and SRAM has made it clear that integration, strength, and speed are at the center of it.
